Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince

Date: 17 July 2009
Magical people: Idham, Fauzi, Finah, Hakim, Khairul, Susu, Syahmi

Courtesy of Khairul, we got all our tix in advance. Giving us the luxury of getting the best seats (: I know this is kinda long overdue. But since I got the time this morning. I thought, why not just update.

Before that, a warning;

SPOILERS AHEAD!

Watching the new harry potter movie was a little heartbreaking actually. It has the least magical impacts of the whole entire series thus far. Im prettu sure you guys out there would agree with me that some changes here and there were understandable for the past movies cos the story is really too complicated to be adapted in a movie restricted in time. BUT adding ridiculous scenes to blow up the love relationships in the story is just ridiculous. There was no scene of harry potter and ginny running across the field. No stupid scene of them trying to hide the potions book in the room of requirement and then kiss. OMG. The development of the relationships wasn't even that big in the book, and even in the book, they were more pure! and harry potter did not follow dumbledore's instructions so obediently! and there were so many more important things in the pensieve which should have been explained! and in the end, they didn't even introduce the possible horcruxes! I guess all the lovey parts were aimed for comic relief. If I had a kid who is a harry potter fan and is too young to understand why the movie is diff, I would have died trying to explain. and the ending part with snape is so misleading! and the worse part is, they belittle what dumbledore was doing! His death was supposed to be so tragic and I was expecting to cry, but omg it was so lame I wanted to hit them! (I think Susu wanted to hit them too)! They did not do justice to the gloom that fell upon the community with the death of the greatest wizard who was the only person they were sure could fight against voldemort. AND YOU CANNOT APPARATE IN HOGWARTS!!!

Okay enough. Bottomline, I enjoyed the company atleast. So,

why need magic when there's friendship?

Right? :D

I gotta zooom to school for sociology tuts now.

Catch up later guys!

Love, N.
