Life experience/49

Life is full of experiences. Good ones, bad ones. New ones, old ones. It's almost impossible to share every new experience I have for the first time with one. So when I do have a these great experiences I always think to myself "If I were to be here again...who would I most want to be here with?" And in my heart, I know X means the most to me because he is always the person I want to introduce my great experiences to. Sometimes he enjoys it just as much as I do and sometimes I hype it up a bit too much and it falls short of expectations.

But the important thing is that he was there and I got to share something I enjoyed with him. I always find myself saying out loud or thinking in my mind..."Oh My, he would love this!" or when I see something funny "I have to tell him about this!" It's almost natural and second nature to me to fill him in on the details of the day in which he wasn't physically part of. And there are times when he does the exact same.

We have a lifetime of experiences still ahead of us. We can't possibly be with one (the priority as I would call it) every moment and even if we can, nor would we want to. So it means a lot to go out and live our lives when we have to and come back with stories and insight to involve the other person in something that they weren't able to witness in person. We do have a life outside our (fill in the balnks)ship and (all these while) we have given each other a respectable space for each other to enjoy friends and families company too. I actually really look forward to all the time when he fills me in on the things that I have missed.

As much as love is about finding a witness to your life, it's also about finding that audience to share your life with.

Do you do the same? Who is the first person who comes to your mind when you have a great story to retell?

Hmmm, I'll leave the rest for you to ponder.

In conjunction with everything said above, counting forty-nine months today (:

Dear brother...

Lots of love, Nin.
